If only the one hotel in the area acted like the high class hotel they think they are!ĭear Guest - Thank you for your stay with us while your home was being renovated. You can't beat the convenient downtown Naperville area for shopping and dining. For the amount of money it costs to stay here - they should be coaching their staff in customer service. Both my husband and I had obnoxious encounters with the lobby staff at different times during the week. But some were unbelievably rude and snarky. Some of the staff we encountered over 5 days were really lovely. The last point I wanted to share regarded the staff. But when Cinco de Mayo rolled around the music ramped up - but not until 10:00 pm! I could hear the lyrics to all the songs! That was the only night the sound was bad. especially for this location right downtown with many restaurants and bars right below the hotel. The first two nights were so quiet in the hotel I was amazed.

The showerhead was a lovely upgrade from the typical hotel - but the shower floor almost took me out the first time I stepped in as the floor was SUPER slippery. but most of the time I would call, I would continue to get the Hotel Indigo phone spiel - even after pressing zero to speak to a person! Speaking of towels - I have NEVER in 50 years seen a towel in the bathroom like the one I had for my 1st shower - it had a hole in it the size of a baby's head! Are you kidding me? There were also small fruit flies in the bathroom. With no housekeeping due to Covid, you need to call the lobby to get more towels, coffee, etc. The lobby serves Sparrow Coffee in the lobby, but it's not complementary - that is only the keurig coffee maker in your room (which doesn't get hot enough btw). You would think at a high end hotel like this one would be more accommodating with their guests. The wifi was spotty - My daughter was booted from her zoom lessons several times over the 5 days, and I was unable to complete work on my laptop at night since emails were not able to be sent. We did get the adjoining rooms we needed for our daughter to continue her online learning. We asked for a room with a balcony but didn't received one.

The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. We needed to stay while home renovations were being completed, so we stayed for 5 weekdays. Thank you again for your feedback and your stay with us! Our goal is to have acceptable staffing levels very quickly. Now, as we see some signs of resurgence in leisure and business travel, we are re-focused on adding staff members to the current very small team. It was perhaps the hardest thing I had to do as a GM in my entire career. Sadly, I furloughed about 80% of our staff last year as a result of the horrible pandemic. While it never pays or is acceptable to offer excuses, I will share with you that we are now ramping-up with our occupancies and currently in the process of hiring new colleagues for many different available operational positions.
